The HCG diet was developed after years of research by Dr. ATW Simeons. Under the HCD diet plans dieters will lose at least a pound a day. This rapid weight loss has not only proven successful for millions of dieters who have been able to continue to keep it off. The HCG Diet Plan incorporates a restricted diet with the Human Chronicle Gonadotropin hormone. It has been found that the HCG hormone in small doses can help reduce the appetite of dieters, helping them lose not only pounds but also inches of fat.

Taking the benefits of HCG a step further, HCG diet plans require that dieters take an HCG supplement along with consuming a restricted diet of 500 calories per day to achieve the desired results. HCG diet plans work in three phases, the loading phase, maintenance phase and stabilization phase.

HCG Diet Plans

The Loading Phase of HCG Diets

The first two days of HCG diet plans are what is referred to as the loading phase. During this phase dieters are encouraged to eat high calorie foods for the entire two days. This allows the body to crease a higher than normal fat reserve which proves helpful during the remaining parts of the HCG diet plans. Dieters will rely upon the higher fat reserve as it will come in handy during the next few phases of HCG diet plans when calories are greatly restricted.

The Maintenance Phase of HCG Diets

The maintenance phase of HCG diet plans is when dieters are introduced to the restricted 500 calorie a day diet. The minimum amount of time to follow this phase of HCG diet plans is 21 days, but it can be stretched out to a maximum of 40 days, depending on the individual dieter’s weight loss goals. During the course of this phase, dieters will consume 500 calories which come mostly from protein, fruits and vegetables as well as 10-15 drops of HCG three times a day. Foods that are consumed on HCG diet plans should not include sugar, starches or fried foods.

The Stabilization Phase of HCG Diets

After a minimum of 21 days, dieters can begin the stabilization phase in which dieters could begin a slow transition to a controlled diet with moderate calorie control. During this phase of HCG Diet Plans, sugar and starches should still be avoided. The ideal calorie intake during this phase is 800 calories for women and 1000 calories for men.
