Gym membership fees can be highly expensive, and most people hate the idea of going out in public to lose weight. Rather than panicking about the idea of working out at the gym, you might think about bringing the gym home to you. You can do that by purchasing some simple equipment that you can store almost anywhere, and you do not have to spend a ton of money in the process. Here are some suggestions for tools you can use for your at home workouts.
Stepping Blocks
A stepping block can act like a set of stairs without actually taking up the space of one. You can do all kinds of aerobics with a stepping block, and you do not have to worry about using up a ton of space in a room. You can buy adjustable stepping blocks that can be changed to fit the workouts you are doing at the time. These exercises will tone your buttocks and make your legs look amazing.
Stationary Bikes
You do not have to go outside to ride a bike. While the fresh air may do you some good, the weather, scheduling conflicts, and other complications may prevent you from riding a bike outside. You can still get that kind of workout though with a stationary bike in your home gym. There are many foldable stationary bikes on the market today, so you may be able to store yours whenever you aren’t using it. Just make sure that you do use it when you need to.
Exercise Balls
There are tons of different workouts you can do with an exercise ball, and they are all meant for minimal effort and maximum impact. All you have to do is pump yours full of air and you can use it for crunches, pushups, rolls and more. You can even get exercise plans specifically for your ball, so do not be afraid to use one.
Weights
You can get small hand weights to keep in your home gym, and they will give you the best chance of working your arm muscles. The weights do not have to be huge unless your body can handle them. A simple two pound or five pound weight can still give you the ability to tone your muscles and lose weight.
Mini Trampolines
Mini trampolines are great for working out at home because they can be used almost anywhere in the house. Trampolines are notoriously fun to use, and they can do wonders for your workouts. You can of course get a larger trampoline for the back yard if you have the space and money. You may just want to stick to the mini one for the house though. That is all up to you.
